Admissions

The enrollment for the training process opens at the start of the academic year and closes at the end of April. Candidates from the following professions are invited to apply for the training program:
Clinical psychologists after their residency.
Psychiatrist after their residency, graduates of three-year schools for psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy.
Social Workers, holding an MA, graduates of three-year schools for psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy.
Art-Therapists, holding an MA, graduates of three-year schools for psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy.
Candidates for the training program will undergo an admission process including document submission and two interviews. Following this process, the admission committee will hold selection meeting after which candidates will be notified.

Required Documents:
The psychoanalytic training program enrollment form.
Detailed professional CV, including therapeutic experience, supervisions and personal therapy.
Personal CV, between two to three pages.
Proof of the most recent degree.
In addition:
For psychologists – registration in the Psychologist’s Register; proof of specialization in clinical psychology.
Psychiatrists – proof of psychotherapy studies.
Social Workers – proof of psychotherapy studies.
Art Therapists – proof of psychotherapy studies.
Professional opinions given by twp supervisors regarding psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapies conducted in recent years.
Two photographs.
800 Nis enrollment fee – in a bank check addressed to the Institute.

Following reception, the candidate will be invited to two interviews. Following these, the admission committee will meet to discuss each candidate and decide according to the submitted documents, the interviews and the candidate’s prospects for integration in the training group. The committee does not provide any feedback regarding its decisions. The committee is obligated by ethical rules to maintain the confidentiality of the admission process, including submitted documents, interviews and committee discussions. The committee will conclude the admission process by the end of July. Answers will be given by mail at this time.
